Marek Minarik received a Ph.D. in bioanalytical chemistry with Barry Karger at the Barnett Institute, Northeastern University in Boston, MA working on capillary electrophoretic instrumentation for analysis of DNA and proteins. After graduation, he spent 2 years in R&D at Molecular Dynamics (later Amersham Pharmacia Biotech) in Sunnyvale, CA, where he was responsible for development of DNA fragment analysis applications including STR and SNP genotyping. Since co-founding Genomac in 2001 he returned to Prague and is serving as a Chief Executive Officer.
Marek is a court appointed expert in Genetics and is currently teaching Genomic analysis classes at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague.
Lucie Benesova (born. Minarikova) received a Ph.D. in molecular biology at Charles University in Prague. After a position of research assistant at the Department of Genetics and Microbiology she co-founded Genomac in 2001 and has since been serving as a Chief Scientific Officer and a Director for testing and services.
Lucie is a court appointed expert in Genetics and is currently teaching DNA diagnostics classes at the Department of Genetics and Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague.
